FAQs

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. Here at PG Tips we love tea and it sounds like you’re passionate about it, too. Everyday, we do everything we can so you can enjoy the best, most flavourful cuppa around. And your comments and questions can only help us get even better at making it.

PG Tips and The Environment

How do I dispose of a biodegradable tea bag?

We’ve made our new tea bags to be biodegradable so, once you’ve had a good cup of PG Tips tea, you can even put some good back! They’ll happily break down in the right composting conditions so you can either put your used bags into your food waste bin or dig them straight into your home composter. It’s worth remembering that, in the UK climate, our tea bags can take longer to break down so you might want to rip them up first. Here’s to recycling!

Is there a real environmental benefit from ditching the pyramid tea bag?

The short answer is yes! Because our new tea bags take up less space than the pyramid bags, we’re able to make smaller boxes that use less cardboard. And we can even fit more boxes on our trucks which means less trips. We just want to make tea better - in every way.

How is this PG Tips Decaf recipe/ blend/ tea an improvement vs. what you had previously?

We never stop looking for ways we can improve the flavour and satisfaction you get with our tea. So, we have improved the PG Tips Decaf blend. Our Master Blenders have been hard at work to bring you the same beautifully smooth, refreshing and balanced taste as your regular cuppa, but caffeine free. And we’ve complimented it with a new tea bag for the perfect flavour release. Because nothing matters more to us than getting great taste in your cup.
